One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
What is meaning of "Abizar
(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)
Meaning of Abizar
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
The name Abizar is probably a derivative of the Quniyat or nickname of one of the closest companions of the Messenger of Allah (saws), Hadrat Abu-zarr al-Ghaffari. His real name was Jundub ibn Junadah and he belonged to the tribe of Ghifaar, and was known by his nickname Abu-zarr al-Ghaffari.
The Prophet (saws) once said of him: "The earth does not carry, nor the heavens cover a man more true and faithful than Abu-zarr."
The literal meaning of the term Abu is father of; and the term zarr literally means a small ant in Arabic. Thus literally the name Abu-zarr would mean father of a small ant in the Arabic language.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
