Answer:

Surah Rahman except Allah’s face

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: and in the Quran at various places it is quoted that we shall have eternal lives in heaven. Could you kindly clearify this ,,

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 50 Surah Qaaf verses 31-35:

31 And the Garden (on the Day of Judgment) will be brought nigh to the righteous; no more a thing distant!

32 (A voice will say:) "This is what was promised for you, for everyone who turned (to Allah) in sincere repentance who kept (his Law).

33 Who feared (Allah) Most Gracious unseen, and brought a heart turned in devotion (to Him):

34 Enter ye therein in Peace and Security; this is a Day of Eternal Life!"

35 There will be for them therein all that they wish and more besides in Our Presence.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 44 Surah Dukhaan verses 51-57:

51 As to the Righteous (in Paradise, they will be) in a position of Security

52 Among Gardens and Springs;

53 Dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade they will face each other;

54 So; and We shall Join them to Companions with beautiful big and lustrous eyes.

55 There can they call for every kind of fruit in peace and security;

56 Nor will they (ever) taste Death except the first Death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire

57 As a Bounty from thy Lord! That will be the supreme achievement!

Without of an iota of a doubt, the Solemn Promise of the Lord Most Majestic, Most High is that the lives in the Hereafter will be absolutely eternal, unending, everlasting, and for-ever! That is the Promise of the Lord Most Gracious, and He Never Ever goes against His Promises.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa verse 122:

The promise of Allah is true, and who can be truer in his word than Allah?

But it is the condition for that Tumultuous Day of Judgment to come to pass, everything in creation and I repeat, absolutely and totally everything, must perish! The only Being Who cannot and will not ever perish is the Being of the Lord Creator, full of Majesty and Bounty; for He indeed is the Ever-Living, Self-Subsisting Eternal.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 255:

255 Allah! There is no god but He, The Ever-Living, The Self-Subsisting Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to his creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His Knowledge except as He Willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. For He is The Most High, The Supreme (in Glory).

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale-Imraan verse 2:

2 Allah! There is no god but He, The Ever-Living, The Self-Subsisting Eternal.

Other than the Lord Most Majestic and Supreme, it is the Decree of the Lord Himself that every soul and everything in creation shall taste of death and perish!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale-Imraan verse 185:

185 Every soul shall have a taste of death!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 21 Surah Anbiyaa verse 35:

35 Every soul shall have a taste of death!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 29 Surah Ankabut verse 57:

57 Every soul shall have a taste of death: in the end to Us shall ye shall be brought back.

Thus the verse of Surah Rahmaan states only the Truth that everything, absolutely everything in creation will perish! The Arabic term used here is ‘alay-haa Faan’, which literally means ‘whatever is in it will perish’; except the Face and Countenance of the Lord Full of Majesty, Bounty and Honor which will never never ever perish, for He is indeed the Ever-Living, Self-Subsisting Eternal.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 55 Surah Rahmaan verses 26-27:

26 All that is on it (earth) will perish;

27 But will abide (forever) the Face of thy Lord full of Majesty Bounty and Honor.

It is the nature and Determined Decree of the Lord Most High that everything, absolutely everything in creation will at least perish once before life is restored again by the Lord Creator to every soul never to be taken away again on that Inevitable Day of Judgment; the Only One Being Who cannot, will not, and can never never ever taste even an iota of any element of perish is the Lord Creator Alone!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
