Currently i am studying religious studies in A leval, i study philosophy and ethics. these subjects come across to be very debatable and theres always questions upon whether God exists or not. could you please tell me if i am wrong studying these subjects because althogh i do this subject, i am still a strong believer of Allah.

Answer:
Studies of there
being no god
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
As long as you are absolutely and unshakably firm in your
belief in Allah Subhanah, the Lord and Creator of everything in existence,
there is absolutely no harm if during the course of your education you are
required to study debatable subjects where the ignorant amongst the
disbelievers try to argue the very existence of their Creator!
Beloved Sister, if you are firm in your belief in your
Lord, and you are equipped and armed with adequate knowledge of the Truth from
the Quran and the Sunnah…it might even be good for you to study the arguments
the disbelievers present in their ignorance; for with your knowledge of Truth
from the Quran and the Sunnah, you might be able to prove to some amongst them
how misguided and ignorant are their claims and their arguments!
The truth is sister, just as a physical disease does not
affect one who has armed himself with an anti-biotic; the Knowledge of the
Truth from the Quran is an anti-biotic against the spiritual diseases of
polytheism, atheism, disbelief, and hypocrisy.
Once a believer has read, understood and studied the clear guidance of
the Quran and the Sunnah, and Allah Subhanah has guided him to the Truth of
Al-Islam; their belief of the Truth is immune from the effects of
falsehoods!
Thus study their subjects and their futile arguments
without fear or hesitation, and use your Knowledge of the Truth of the Quran
and the Sunnah to prove to them how illogical and false are their claims and
arguments of atheism and disbelief!
Beloved Sister in Islam, allow us to present a simple and
logical example of how to stimulate the minds of the disbelievers or atheists
with nothing but absolute logic. Ask
those who are inclined to believe in atheism that if one was walking in the
middle of a desert and he sees a house in the middle of nowhere…what would be
his reasoning:
- All
the sand and stones came together in the form of perfect bricks by
accident, and then each brick piled on top of each other perfectly to form
the house, and somehow the natural metals or wood accidentally came
together and formed the doors and the windows, etc.; and by absolute
accident this perfect house came into existence!
- Or,
someone designed and built this house with precision in the middle of the
desert!
No one who has even an iota of intelligence will be able
to ever prove or even claim without sounding absurd, that the house came into
existence by itself!!!
When a simple house, or even something as insignificant as
a needle, or a chair, or a table or a spoon, etc. cannot come into existence by
itself without someone designing and creating it; how can this fantastic
universe, this world, this sky, this earth, this vegetation, these animals, and
this fantastic creation of man come into existence by accident without a
Designer and Creator???
Just because one is not able to see the Creator does not by
itself prove that there is no Creator; just as one does not say the house (or
chair, or table, or even a needle, etc.) found abandoned in the middle of
nowhere came into existence by itself just because he did not see its creator!
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
