Hajj with parents money

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Asalamoalakum rv h I am owner of all my property; in property I have some land, plots and treading business. My four sons help me to handle my business and farming. All of them are living separately. I give them salary to run my business. Up today they are not owner of any thing but in future (Inshaallah) they will be owner (heritor) of my property. In this case, now, Hajj is farz for them. At present if I give all expenditure of Hajj and they are performing hajj, this hajj will be farz or when they become heritor they have to perform hajj again.

Answer:

Hajj with parents money

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

The parents are well within their rights to pay for the complete Hajj expenses of their children.  If you, as the parent, wish to pay for the complete expenses for the Hajj pilgrimage of your child or children, and your children perform the Hajj....it will suffice to fulfill their obligatory duty of performing Hajj at least once in their lifetime.

They need not perform another Hajj pilgrimage from their own wealth in the future, if they do not wish to do so, as the first Hajj they performed would more than suffice to fulfill their obligation of Hajj unto Allah Subhanah.  If indeed they perform another Hajj in the future from their own wealth, it will be considered their voluntary deed of worship and not obligatory.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
