By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; The beginning of this Sura may be compared with the beginning of S. lxxvii.

By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); The second point is that in contrast with the wicked, the souls of the blessed will be drawn out gently to their new fife.

The time will come when nature's processes as we know them will cease to function, and the soul will only then know by self conviction the results of its actions.

so the inmost state of every soul will then become plain.

And when the Garden is brought near (12) Lastly the Garden will come in sight, not yet attained, but visible, or "brought near". For the scales have fallen from the eyes, and the soul knows itself.
