Hi my name is John, I am living in the UK and I have many muslim friends. I was wondering if it is permissible in Islam to have intercourse with more than one woman at a time (known as an orgy):

a) if both woman are married to you?

b) if one woman is your wife and the other is your slave girl that your right hand possesses?

c) one woman is married to you and the other is not, but your wife allows it?

Answer:

Sex with multiple women

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: I was wondering if it is permissible in Islam to have intercourse with more than one woman at a time (known as an orgy):

Beloved brother in humanity, Islam is a ‘way of life’ of piety and righteousness and under no circumstances does Islam permit a believer to enjoy sexual intercourse with more than one of his wives at any one time.

a) if both woman are married to you?

Even if a person has two wives, he is permitted to enjoy conjugal relations with only one of his wives at any one time. Besides it is also a condition of modesty, piety and righteousness that no man shows or displays his private parts to any except his wife; and no woman shows or displays her private parts to any except her husband.

b) if one woman is your wife and the other is your slave girl that your right hand possesses?

Beloved brother, the major difference between a slave girl and a wife in Islam is that the wife, of her own free will agreed to ‘marry’ the person; and the ‘slave-girl’ was ‘married’ to the person by the State, regardless of whether she was in agreement to the union or not.

Under no circumstances is it permissible in Islam for a believer who sincerely believes in Allah and the Last Day to enjoy conjugal relations with two women at one and the same time, regardless if the two women are his legally wedded wives, or one appointed to him by the State.

c) one woman is married to you and the other is not, but your wife allows it?

The Lord Creator has only permitted conjugal relations between a wife and a husband; and absolutely prohibited a believer to have sexual relations with any other than his wife/s. The evil and heinous act of performing sexual intercourse with a woman who is not one’s wife would constitute a case of adultery in Islamic Law, a crime which carries capital punishment if convicted in a court of law!

Regardless of even if the whole world allows it, a believer who sincerely fears Allah and the Last Day, cannot and should not have sexual relations, leave alone perform the act of sexual intercourse with any woman other than his wife!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
