Answer:

Ehtelam can ejaculation happen like wet dream

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

‘Ahtelam’ in Fiqh and Jurisprudence terminology means the involuntary release of one’s sperm during one’s sleep. Because ‘ahtelam’ can only be experienced involuntarily, there is no sin upon the person.

If one releases one’s sperm in the state of wakefulness, then it cannot be ‘ehtelam’, but rather a voluntary act of the person himself.

Your Question: can it happen while awaken i.e while working etc..

The very nature of the release of one’s sperms in the state of wakefulness is such that it cannot happen without ‘shahawaat’ or sexual desires and thoughts; and thus it cannot be classified in Fiqh or Jurisprudence terms as ‘ehtelam’, where the precondition is that the sperm is released involuntarily in a state of sleep.
