Prayer Details after leaving Bohrism

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

MuDear Brother Burhan

Assalamu alaikum wrbt

Please tell me now that you have given up being a Bohra and its attendant beliefs what is your Mazhab or which Mazhab do you preach. Do you still pray with your hands by your side or read the Teshahud we were taught.  What about Wuzu'sEg  Do you consider the touching accidentally or otherwise of a non mahram  men/women the wuzu is broken. In the Teshahud do you extend your right hand forefinger when you come to the verse La illa ha iillallah?

With warm regards

Prayer Details after leaving Bohrism

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

All Praise is due to Allah Subhanah Alone, Who has guided us to read and understand the Glorious Quran; and guided us to leave the ways and practices of ‘shirk’ which we were born into, and helped us to become true believers. After giving up the deen on which I was born, I chose my ‘madhab’, my deen, and my religion, as Islam!

Allah Subhanah did not make the believers Shias, or Sunnis, or Ismailis, or Hanafis, or Bohras, etc. These are names man has invented and chosen for himself, without any authority from the Merciful Lord. Every believer must be honored to be recognized by the name Allah Subhanah Himself has chosen for the believers; and Allah has chosen to name the believers as ‘muslims’ in the Glorious Quran. And I solemnly declare that my only deen, my only madhab’, and my only religion is Islam; and I am amongst those who feel honored to be recognized only by the name that Allah has chosen for the believers, that is; muslims’.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah Hajj verse 77-78:O you who have believed, do ‘rukooh’ (bow down) and do ‘sajdah’ (prostration), and worship your Lord Allah Alone, and do righteous deeds: it may be that you attain true success! Exert your utmost for the cause of Allah, as one should. He has chosen you for His service, and has not laid on you any hardship in your religion. Therefore, be steadfast in the religion of your father Abraham. Allah had named you ‘muslims’ before this, and has named you (muslims) in this Quran also, so that the Messenger may be a witness in regard to you, and you may be witnesses in regard to the rest of mankind.

I did not leave one sect, to go to another sect in Islam; for Allah Subhanah does not approve the breaking of the One Ummah of Islam into sects! Allah Subhanah has enjoined the believers to be united as One Ummah, and to fear Him Alone, and has shown extreme anger and displeasure at those who divide themselves into sects and creeds!

Just look at the Anger and Wrath of Allah described on those who break up their religion into sects:

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 23 Surah Mu’minoon verse 52-54:And you all belong to one and the same ummah, and I(Allah) am your Lord; so fear Me Alone! Yet afterwards the people divided themselves into different sects, and each sect rejoicing in what it has. Well, leave them deeply involved in their heedlessness up to an appointed time.

Allah says in Chapter 30 Surah Rum aayat 31-32:"This (Islam) is the right and true faith, but most people do not know. (Be steadfast on this) turning wholly and sincerely towards Allah Alone, and fear Him, and establish the Salat, and do not be like the mushriks, who have set up their separate creeds and divided themselves into sects, each sect rejoicing in what it has."

Regarding the specific actions that you have enquired about, in every act of worship and the deen, we follow only the example and actions of the Messenger of Allah (saws), as has been commanded by Allah Subhanah in the Holy Quran.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzab verse 21:There is indeed the best example for you to follow, in the Messenger of Allah, for every such person looks forward to Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
