One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

ALMOST EVERY MUSLIM ACCEPTS THAT HE IS A BELIVER AND HE BELIEVES IN GOD.BUT DO WE KNOW WHAT IS THE MEANING OF A TERM "BELIEVER"? IF WE ARE A BELIEVER, THAN WHY WE HAVE ACCEPTED THAT JEWS / CHRISTIANS / HINDUS ARE STRONGER THAN US, MORE IN NUMBERS, AND VERY ADVANCED IN WORLDY TECHNOLOGIES. WHY IS IT THAT STRENGHT OF A NATION OR RACE LEAVES LARGER EFFECTS ON OUR MINDS THAN THE ALMIGHTY GOD.  WHY IS IT THAT WE ARE IMPRESSED THAT WE CANNOT FACE NON MUSLIMS BECAUSE THE ARE STRONGER THAN US, ARE WE BELIEVERS OF THE MOST STRONGEST & ALMIGHTY GOD?

Answer:

Are we true believers?

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

My beloved brother, it is the promise of Allah, that as long as we put our belief and trust in Allah, and hold fast and obey the commandments of Allah and His Messenger, He will make Islam prevail over all other deens of the World.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 33: He is Allah, Who has sent His Messenger with Guidance and the Right Way so that He may make it prevail over all the other ‘deens’, even though the pagans be much opposed to it.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 58 Surah Mujadalah verse 22: They (the believers) are of the party of Allah. Truly it is the Party of Allah which will achieve True Success.

And we must also keep history in perspective. Islam has been the deen of preference for over a thousand years since its inception. It is only in the past couple of centuries, that the pagans have taken the power away from the muslims and made us and our nations slaves to their systems, their United Nations, their World Banks, and their pagan and un-Godly and interest based associations!

Why? That is your question and the question on every believer’s mind! Is not the promise of Allah true that He will make Islam prevail over all the other ‘deens’ in the world? Yes, my beloved brother, the promise of Allah is absolutely true! It is we who have fallen short in our deeds and actions as muslims and as believers.

The reason that today we are weak and humiliated; the reason today that our brothers and sisters and children are being tortured, killed and annihilated in front of our very eyes; the reason today that our muslim land and property is ransacked and confiscated by the pagans at will; and muslims, even though they are in the majority, have absolutely no say and no weight; is because we have left the guidance of the Quran and Sunnah and tried to imitate the pagans in everything they do. We have broken our strength and divided ourselves according to color, language, race, tribes, sects, locations, lands and nations. The muslims who were supposed to be One Ummah and united in their worship of the One Lord, are separated and divided and fighting for power, wealth and honor amongst themselves! We have preferred the mirage of the gleaming glory and luxury of this transitory world, to the ever lasting bliss of the Hereafter!

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said in an authentic narration, “ When the believers will fall in love with this world and hate death; Allah will relieve the enemies of the awe of the muslims, and put fear of the enemies into the hearts of the believers.”

And that is exactly what has happened!

The day we muslims unite, and love the hereafter more than this transitory world and its luxuries, and prefer death to this current humiliation, and come back to obey and follow the commandments of Allah and His Messenger (saws), and come back to become true muslims in the worship of the One and Only Allah, and strive hard to make the words and laws of Allah Supreme in this world…. That is when Allah will fulfill His Promise and help the muslims regain their lost honor.

Thus the duty of every muslim today is to come back and obey every commandment of Allah and His Messenger (saws) in Truth… and strive and work hard to unite this broken Ummah of Islam in every way he can! This will be your contribution to make the Word and Law of Allah Supreme in this world.

And ask not what Islam has done for us, but rather ask ourselves what we have done for Islam! And when we do not like the truth our soul in screaming out to us, bow down immediately in prostration to our Lord and Creator in repentance … and make Him a solemn covenant that we will do everything in our power, ability and capacity to make His Word and His Law Supreme in this world! And we have to start with ourselves and our households first…..

Yes, it might take 50 years or it might take 200 or 500 years … but the promise of Allah will always stand True! Islam will prevail over all the other deens of the world … as soon as we muslims get our acts together … and prefer the life of the hereafter more than the life of this world, and love death rather than hate it! The day you and I and every muslim reach that state, that will be the day when Allah will fulfill His Promise!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 24 Surah Noor verses 55-57: Allah has promised those among you who believe and do righteous deeds, that He will make them successors in the land just as He made those who passed away before them, and that He will establish their religion, which He has approved for them, on strong foundations and will change their present state of fear into peace and security. Let them worship Me Alone, and associate none with Me! And the one who disbelieves after this, shall be of those who are perverse transgressors. Therefore, establish the salaat, pay the zakat dues and obey the Messenger. It is expected that you will be shown Mercy. Do not think about those who have disbelieved that they will ever be able to frustrate Allah in the land! Their abode is Hell and it is a very evil place indeed!

O Allah, help us, guide us and forgive us our sins. O Allah, help us to establish Islam and Your Word and Your Law as Supreme in this world. O Allah, guide us to understand and implement every commandment of the Al Quran in our lives .. be it individually, be it collectively, be it moral or be it social. O Allah, open our hearts to the understanding of the Glorious Quran… O Allah, help us against the plots of the enemies of Islam … O Allah help us to throw and cast away the fear of the pagans from our hearts, and instill our hearts with Your Love and Your Fear … O Allah, guide us to prefer the life of the hereafter to the life of this transitory world…. O Allah help us, guide us, forgive us our sins, and give us victory over the disbelievers…. O Allah, we beg of You one of two good things … give us victory in Your Cause, or give us martyrdom in Your Way…O Allah have mercy and unite the Ummah of Islam into One Ummah. Ameen.

May Allah guide you and us all to the Straight Path of Islam.
