Disposal of some papers on which some verses from the Qur'an are written: As salaam alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barkatuhu! Please suggest us how the papers can be disposed on which some Qur'an verses are written and I heard it is not right to burn them. Jazak Allah Khairan, Salaam alaikum.

if one happens to possess Quranic Aayahs from newspaper or book clippings, or an extremely used and torn Quran which one no longer needs, etc. and one wishes to dispose off these texts honorably, the majority of the scholars recommend burning these texts rather than burying them or throwing them in the garbage or the sea.
