Marriage will forgive zina sin

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Dear Brother

Thank you very much for your reply, but kindly clarify in this case is the married person is out of the sin?, since he is already marreid?  if they both feel that they have done wrong thing and want to repent the sin in the form of marraige then also the sin will be counted.  And due to society norms if they cannot marry(since the person still not given right answer for marriage)and both will not do the same gunah again  but remain as good and pure freinds, is that ok as per islam.  means if they want to be as good freinds forever, in this case there is no sin???  please clarify as it will be helpful for me to help them in right way.

Answer:

Marriage will forgive zina sin

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: ….kindly clarify in this case is the married person is out of the sin?, since he is already marreid?

Regardless of whether the one who committed the heinous crime of ‘zina’ (illegal sexual intercourse) is married or unmarried…..the one and only deed which will obliterate their sin is the turning back unto their Lord in ‘taubah’ and sincere repentance.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumur verses 53-54:

(O Prophet) say: “O My servants who have wronged their own souls….Do not despair of Allah’s Mercy! Surely, Allah forgives all sins. He indeed is the All Forgiving, All Merciful. Return to your Lord and submit to Him before the scourge overtakes you; for then you may get no help from anywhere.”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imraan verse 135-136:

Allah likes such good people very much, who, if ever they commit a base deed or wrong their own soul by the commission of a sin, remember Allah instantly, and ask for forgiveness from Him for their shortcomings. For who, but Allah, can forgive sins? (And Allah loves those) who do not knowingly persist in the wrongs they did. These will be rewarded with forgiveness from Allah, and with Gardens beneath which canals flow, and they will reside therein forever! How excellent is the reward of those who do good deeds!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 54:

When those come to you who believe in Our Signs, say: "Peace be on you! Your Lord had inscribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy. Verily if any of you did evil in ignorance, and thereafter repented and amended (his conduct), Lo! He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Nothing, absolutely nothing, other than sincere ‘taubah’ and repentance will wipe out their sin from their ‘book of records’ with Allah Subhanah!

Your Question: ….if they both feel that they have done wrong thing and want to repent the sin in the form of marraige then also the sin will be counted.

If two people who were involved in the heinous crime of ‘zina’ feel they have wronged their own souls, are ashamed at the commission of such a grave sin, and turn unto their Lord Most Gracious and seek forgiveness…..this act of ‘taubah’ itself is enough to absolutely obliterate and wipe out their heinous sin from their ‘book of records’ with their Lord Most Gracious!

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2357 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud

Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "He who repents of a sin is like him who has committed no sin."

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2338 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Umar

Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "Allah accepts a servant's repentance (taubah) till he gives up his spirit in death."

If the two who committed the heinous crime of ‘zina’ do not repent unto their Lord for their sin, there is nothing else that they can do which would wipe out their sin! The mere act of marrying each other would by itself not wipe out their sin in the least. The one and only act which wipes out sin is ‘taubah’ and sincere repentance.

It is not marriage which will wipe out their heinous sin of ‘zina’; but rather it is ‘taubah’ and ‘taubah’ alone which has the capacity to absolutely obliterate this heinous and grave sin.

Your Question: ….And due to society norms if they cannot marry(since the person still not given right answer for marriage)and both will not do the same gunah again  but remain as good and pure freinds, is that ok as per islam.

Contrary to popular and un-natural belief, the deen of Truth Al-Islam guides that there is absolutely no such as a ‘platonic’ relationship between two non-mehram members of the opposite sex. Islam absolutely prohibits the believers who sincerely fear Allah and the Last Day from forming a casual relationship with a non-mehram member of the opposite sex; as there is always a chance that such a relationship could lead the participants towards the evil abomination of ‘zina’, and act which is so detested and so despised by Allah Subhanah that He has Commanded the believers to ‘not even go near it!!!’.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 5:

5 This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them. (Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers but chaste women among the People of the Book revealed before your time when ye give them their due dowers and desire chastity, not lewdness nor secret intrigues. If anyone rejects faith, fruitless is his work and in the Hereafter; he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 32:

Do not even go near ‘zina’ (fornication or adultery) for it is a very indecent thing and a very evil way!

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 3118 Narrated by Umar ibn al-Khattab

The Prophet (saws) said, "Whenever a man is alone with a (non-mehram) woman the Shaytaan makes a third!"

Respected sister in Islam, Islam absolutely prohibits and forbids the casual friendship, meeting and talking vain talk in private, etc. of two non-mehram members of the opposite sex; for these are paths that approach the evil and abomination of ‘zina’, and ‘zina’ is listed as amongst the absolute gravest sins in Islam!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
