Answer:

Mitah marriage forbidden

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His  forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) strictly forbade the believers from the ‘mitah’ or temporary marriage, and declared it ‘haraam’ on the Day of the Battle of Khaybar.

Narrated by Hadrat Ali bin Abi Talib (r.a.): “On the day of Khaibar, Allah's Apostle forbade the Mut'a (i.e. temporary marriage) and the eating of donkey-meat.”

Narrated by Saburah ibn Ma'bad al-Juhani: “The Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited temporary marriage with women.”

Thus if the woman has had a mitah or temporary marriage in ignorance, she has committed a grave sin, and must immediately turn to Allah Subhanah and sincerely seek His Pardon and Forgiveness.

If she intends to marry a man, there is no harm; and if she is not confronted by her husband regarding her prior life, there is no need for her to volunteer any information about the deeds she may have done in ignorance, which might effect her future relationship with her husband. If Allah Subhanah has veiled the deed she did in ignorance in her past, she must veil it too and try not to dig into the past which might effect her future.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
