I have a question. According to the Hadith Below:

Narrated Hadrat Abu Dharr al Gaffari that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “there is a reward for you [even] in sex with your wife.' This is related by Ahmad.

What is the logic behind that Allah has set a reward in sex with wife?

In my point of view, there is no benefit for humanity (either religious or non-religous), I cant find any benefit the husband and women will get after doing sex.

So, my question is what is that that Allah Ta'Allah will give reward in doing this? Also, please give more Hadith and ayahs related to it. Jaza Kallah Khair. Ameen

Answer:

Reward for sex

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His  forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah Subhanah has kept many things in the nature of man like the love of wealth, the love of women, etc. If one fulfills his requirements through the legal means, fears Allah Subhanah, and abstain from illegal means in achieving it; it would mean that the person obeyed the commands and guidance of Allah Subhanah; and thus he will be rewarded for his obedience.

Allah Subhanah has put the love of wealth in every person. If a person fulfills his love of wealth by illegal means (gambling, stealing, lying, cheating, etc.), he will cause chaos and disruption in society, and thus will deserve a punishment from Allah Subhanah. But if the person strives to earn his livelihood and wealth through legal means, fears Allah, and abstains from evil and illegal means, he will earn a huge reward from the Merciful Lord.

Similarly, sex is a natural requirement of the human being. If one fulfills this requirement through illegal means, he will cause chaos and disruption in society, and thus will deserve a severe punishment from Allah Subhanah. But if a person fears Allah, and fulfills his natural requirement through the legal means of marriage allowed by Allah Subhanah; he will earn a huge reward from the Merciful for his obedience.

Abu Dhar al-Ghafari said: "The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: 'Sadaqah is for every person every day the sun rises.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (saws) from what do we give sadaqah if we do not possess property?' He (saws) said: 'The doors of sadaqah are takbir [i.e., to say: Allahu-akbar, Allah is Great]; Subhan-Allah [Allah is free from imperfection]; Alhamdulillah [all praise is for Allah]; La -ilaha-illallah [there is no god other than Allah]; Astaghfirul-lah [I seek forgiveness from Allah]; enjoining good; forbidding evil; removing thorns, bones, and stones from the paths of people; guiding the blind; listening to the deaf and dumb until you understand them; guiding a person to his object of need if you know where it is; hurrying with the strength of your legs to one in sorrow who is appealing for help; and supporting the weak with the strength of your arms. These are all the doors of sadaqah. [The sadaqah] from you is prescribed for you, and there is a reward for you [even] in sex with your wife.' This is related by Ahmad.

Muslim records that the companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah (saws) is there a reward if one satisfies his passion?" He (saws) said: "Do you know that if he satisfies it unlawfully he has taken a sin upon himself? Likewise, if he satisfies it lawfully, he is rewarded."

Normally people take prayers, fasts, zakaah, the pilgrimage of Hajj and Umrah, recitation of the Quran, etc. as the ‘only’ forms of worship and a means of earning reward from Allah Subhanah. The above are indeed means of worship and earning huge rewards from Allah Subhanah, but Islam is not a religion based on only rites and rituals of worship. Islam is a complete code and Way of Life. Everything a believer does, which is within the prescribed boundaries of Allah Subhanah, is regarded as worship, and thus a means of attaining reward from the Merciful.

If a believer fears Allah Subhanah and abstain from the forbidden, and works and toils legally to provide for his livelihood and for his family, it will be considered part of worship. If a believer fears Allah and abstains from the haraam, and eats halaal food to satisfy his hunger, it will be considered part of worship. If a believer fears Allah Subhanah and abstains from wearing indecent clothing, and wears clothing appropriate with the guidance of Islam, it will be considered part of worship. No matter what act or deed a believer does, if he fears Allah Subhanah and abstains from the haraam, it will considered part of his obedience and his worship to His Merciful Lord; and thus he will earn a reward for his obedience.

Thus if a believer, who sincerely fears Allah Subhanah and strives his utmost to live his life within the prescribed boundaries of Allah Subhanah, and abstains from the doing the forbidden in any of his acts and deeds; every minute of his life will be considered worship, and he will receive a huge reward from Allah Subhanah.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
