Answer:

Dua for travel

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

It is the preferred Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws) that whenever Allah Subhanah blessed him with something good to use….like new clothes, a new house, or a new utensil, or piece of furniture, or a vehicle to ride or travel, etc….he would declare his gratitude to Allah Subhanah and take the Blessed Name of Allah Subhanah before using it.

If Allah Subhanah has blessed you with a new vehicle, you should follow the example of the Noble Prophet of Allah (saws), declare your gratitude for His innumerable favors, say ‘Bismillaah’ and use it.

Ali ibn Rabi'ah narrates that Hadrat Ali ibn Abi Taalib (r.a.) was brought a riding animal. When he put his foot in the stirrup, he said: 'In the Name of Allah.' Then, when he sat on it, he said: 'Praise be to Allah. Glory be to the One Who made this (vehicle) subservient to us, for we were not able to make [it subservient]; and it is to our Lord that we will return.' Hadrat Ali (r.a.) declared that he had witnessed the Messenger of Allah (saws) doing the same.
