Difference between bohra and Dawoodi bohra

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Q-1: what is the difference between bohra and dawoodibohra?

Bohra is actually a Gujrati term for ‘trader’, and there are many Bohras who are Hindus, Muslims, pagans, etc. Dawoodi Bohras are a sect of the Shiite-Ismaili-Mustaali school of thought, and they derived their name when the sect further parted at the time of their 27th Dai, Dawood ibn Qutubshah Burhanuddin in the 11th century after Hijrah corresponding to 16th century AD. There are several other sects of Bohras from the same school of thought, but parted from the Dawoodi Bohras because they differed in the leadership or their appointment of the Dai…eg. Najmi Bohras, Alwi Bohras, Sulaimani Bohras, etc.!

Q-2: what u doing regarding other misguided bohri people?

To guide someone to the Straight Path of Islam, or to leave them astray is in the Sole Power and Domain of Allah Subhanah Alone. The only thing that we can do is invite whoever is willing to listen to good caution to read, understand and follow the guidance of the Quran and Sunnah; and we are doing that to the best of our ability and with the limited means available to us.

Allah says in the Holy Quran: Chapter 16, Surah An-Nahl Ayat 125:Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and excellent admonition and argue with people in the best manner. Your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Way and who is Rightly guided.

Allah has made it the duty of the believers only to invite those who are willing to listen to good caution to the Truth, in the best and most polite manner; to accept or deny the invitation to the Truth is a decision every person will have to make for himself.

Your Statement: i also want to do something  for misleadind muslims, who are involving in doing shirk like garve worshiping, asking from babas etc.
i have finished Quranulkareem  few times and one time with translation and now again i am reading it with translation but little more details. i want my bohri and other freinds to read Quran with transaltions, and

It is indeed a duty unto every believer, that He must invite whoever is willing to listen to good caution, to the Truth of the Quran and Sunnah. It is indeed a noble intention that you have made, and if you do this noble deed for the Cause of Allah Subhanah Alone, Allah Subhanah will reward you generously in the life of this world and in the Hereafter.

When one understands and follows the Truth, his/her first duty is to invite their close relatives and friends to the Truth of Al-Islam; thus it is indeed good to start your mission with your husband in the best and most polite manner.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 66 Surah Tahreem verse 6:O you who have believed, save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel shall be men and stones; over which shall be appointed fierce and stern angels, who never disobey Allah’s Command, and they only do as they are commanded!

May Allah Subhanah help you and us to fulfill our duty towards our brethren, guide us, have Mercy on us, accept our humble and weak efforts in His Cause, forgive us our short-comings, and save us all from the torment of the Hell Fire. Ameen.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
