Answer:

Commit sins with Allah’s Will

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 59:

59 With Him are the keys of the unseen, the treasures that none knows but He. He Knows whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His Knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a Record Clear.

Indeed such is the Dominion, Control, and Absolute Lordship of the Lord Creator over all of His creation, that even a mere leaf does not fall or move from its place without His Knowledge, His Will, and His Permission.

Your Question: ……how can we commit so many sins. is it from allah's wish or is it that allah is testing us?

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 21 Surah Anbiyaa verse 35:

35 Every soul shall have a taste of death: and We test you by evil and by good (only) by way of trial: to Us must ye return.

Allah says in the Holy Quran in Chapter 67 Surah Al Mulk verse 2:

He (Allah) created death and life that He may test you, to see which of you is the best in deeds.

The All-Knowing, All-Wise Lord bestowed two things upon His best creation (ie. mankind) which He did not bestow upon any in His Supreme Creation, and thus put mankind to a test:

  1. Intelligence or the Power of Reasoning
  2. A ‘free will’ for a limited period of one life-time to choose whatever path one wishes to live his life.

Whoever amongst man studies and ponders over the innumerable wonders and Signs in the various creations of the Majestic Lord, and uses his bestowed intelligence and power of reasoning to understand his mission of creation, recognize His Supreme Lord and Creator, and of his own ‘free will’ chooses to submit his will to the Will of his Creator, and chooses to live his life in accordance with the guidance of his Creator, passes the test of life and is promised the Eternal Mercy, Grace, and Rewards of Allah Subhanah.

And whoever amongst man uses his bestowed intelligence and power of reasoning to do everything else but does not recognize or denies his Supreme Creator, refuses to submit his will to the Will of His Creator, and of his own ‘free will’ chooses to live his life in accordance with any guidance other than that of His Supreme Creator, miserably fails the test of life and will have a severe accounting in the Presence of His All-Mighty and Majestic Lord on an Inevitable Day.

Your Question: ……how can we commit so many sins.

Without an iota of a doubt, man is prone to and it is in his very nature to err and to sin….and every single sin (or good) that man does on this earth during the test period of his one lifetime, happens with the Precise Will and Permission of Allah Subhanah!

For the period of the test of one lifetime, the Lord Most Majestic, Most Supreme, although He very well could, but He neither stops one who wishes to do evil from doing his evil; nor does the Lord stop one who wishes to do good from doing his good….but to fulfill the requirements of a ‘fair’ test, and only for the period of the test, the Lord All-Wise allows man to do as he pleases…..then to their Lord all will be gathered on an Inevitable and Tumultuous Day to give a full accounting of their deeds.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah Fatir verse 45:

45 If Allah were to punish men according to what they deserve, He would not leave on the back of the (earth) a single living creature! But He gives them respite for a stated Term: when their Term expires, verily Allah has in His Sight all His servants.

Although every sin that man does is done with the Will and the Permission of the Lord Most Majestic, the Lord is not pleased with that person…..but it is the condition of being able to give a ‘fair’ and ‘just’ test, that the one who is giving the test be allowed by the examiner to give his test in full as he pleases until the appointed time….only after that stated and appointed time expires, does the examiner hold the right to declare who actually passed the given test, and who failed it.

Allow us to relate a simple example: Say a teacher or examiner stands behind a student who is giving his examination and the teacher notices that the student is writing all the wrong answers on his exam-sheet…..the examiner could very well have stopped or told the student that all his answers are wrong but that would violate the conditions of giving a fair test. Thus as unhappy or unpleased the examiner might be at the efforts of his student, he leaves the student to complete his test until the appointed time. With the will of the examiner, the student wrote the answers on his exam-sheet himself, but the examiner was definitely not pleased with the efforts of his student.

Similarly, Allah Subhanah could very well have taken to account every person who commits evil or sin on this earth…..but because He has involved man to a test, and given them an allocated time of one lifetime to fulfill their test, He allows them to do as they will….He is Pleased when one does good and Dis-Pleased when one amongst His slaves does evil, but he allows both to fulfill their test until the time appointed by Him. Only on the Day of Judgment will He gather all of mankind and declare the ultimate results of who amongst man passed the test and who amongst them failed it.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
