Answer:

Thick eyebrows

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 7.815 Narrated by Abdullah

Allah has cursed those women who practice tattooing and those who get themselves tattooed, and those who remove their eye-brow hairs, and those who create a space between their teeth artificially to look beautiful, and such women as change the features created by Allah. Why then should I not curse those whom the Prophet (saws) has cursed?

In light of the above absolutely clear guidance of the Messenger of Allah (saws), it is the unanimous opinion of all the scholars and jurists in Islam that the plucking of eyebrows is strictly forbidden for the believing woman in Islam.

Your Question: what about for those who have very broad and bushy eye brows.can they remove some hairs without giving the proper shape.please answer me.i have very thick and broad eye brows of about half an inch broad or more. but one thing that i feel inferiority complex because they look very unnatural

The Messenger of Allah (saws) has said that Allah has cursed those women to remove their eye-brow hairs, and the fear of the curse of Allah should be more than enough for any believing woman to forego any feelings which goes directly against the clear guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws)!

The guidance of the statements of the Messenger of Allah (saws) regarding the altering of a women’s eye-brows is general and very clear. But if one that one has very thick, broad, and bushy eye-brows, or one feels an inferiority complex because of these, and removes or trims them and sincerely believes that on the Day of Judgment they will be able to present this as an excuse in the Supreme and Majestic Presence of their Lord Most High, and the All-Knowing, All-Wise will accept their excuse for doing something against the clear guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws), they may take their chances if they wish; for no true scholar or jurist in Islam has the authority or power to give an opinion after Allah and His Messenger (saws) have already given their decision on that subject.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzaab verse 36: It does not behove a believing man and a believing woman that when Allah and His Messenger have given their decision in a matter, they should exercise an option in that matter of theirs. For whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, has indeed strayed into manifest error.

If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
