Answer:

Talk to person one loves

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Islam encourages the believing man and the believing woman to marry of their choice, and marry those amongst the believers whom they like. But when one consents to marry a person for any reason whatsoever, regardless of whether to make her parents happy, or because the person one loves does not wish to marry her, etc.; then one should remain committed to the person one married with one’s heart and soul.

It would not be considered permissible for a believing man and a believing woman, if they sincerely believe in Allah and the Last Day, to marry one and keep illicit or secret relations with another. Keeping such illicit relations with a person out of marriage would not only harm and damage the relationship of trust between the couple bonded in the sacred institution of marriage, but it would be considered a breach of trust and a grave sin in the sight of Allah Subhanah. If one was not successful in marrying the person one loves for whatever reason, one should accept the fact and devote ones full energy to the person one has committed to honor and love in marriage.

If one has consented to marry someone for the sake of one’s parents’ happiness, and in the process had to give the ultimate sacrifice of letting go of someone one loved and wished to marry; then it would only be righteousness that one should honor one’s commitment and sacrifice and seek the reward of their sacrifice from Allah Subhanah on the Day of Judgment.

It would not behove and befit a believing woman, who sincerely fears Allah and the Last Day, that she should develop an illicit relationship with any non-mehram man out of marriage; nor does it behove and befit a believing man that he develop any relationship with a woman who is married to another man; these would indeed be considered grave sins in the sight of Allah Subhanah.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
