Answer:

Who is right, the U.S. or Afghanistan?

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 33:Do not kill any soul whose killing has been forbidden by Allah, except by right.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 135:O you who have believed! Be you the standard bearers of justice and witnesses for the sake of Allah, even though your justice and your evidence might be harmful to yourselves, or to your parents, or to your relatives. It does not matter whether the party concerned is rich or poor; Allah is their greater well-wisher than you. Therefore do not follow your own desire lest you should deviate from doing justice. If you distort your evidence or refrain from the Truth, know it well that Allah is fully aware of what you do.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verses 190-191:And fight in the Way of Allah with those who fight against you, but do not commit aggression; because Allah does not like the aggressors. Fight against them wherever they confront you in combat and drive them out from where they drove you out. Though killing is bad, persecution is worse than killing.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 76:Those, who follow the Way of Faith, fight in the Way of Allah. And those, who follow the way of disbelief, fight in the Way of Shaitaan. So fight against the helpers of Shaitaan with this conviction that Shaitaan’s crafty schemes are in fact very weak!

Islam is a religion that advocates peace, harmony, and justice for all. Islam guarantees the protection of ones lives, property and honor. Islam advocates that the believers always stand on the side of justice, oppose the tyrants, and help and support the victims of tyranny.

But the war that has been started in today’s times in the name of ‘justice’ cannot be deemed true justice in Islam. Justice does not mean that the nations who are powerful decide who is wrong, then become the prosecutors, themselves become the witnesses, the jury, the judge, and ultimately the executioners to deliver their form of justice!

Justice would mean that the prosecutors bring charges and evidence against the accused in a court of law, and allow the defense to bring their evidence for the accused’s innocence. The law would assume that the accused is innocent until proven guilty in a court of Law. Then, if the accused is guilty, he should be punished and if not, he should be set free. That would be justice!

Whoever did the attacks on September 11 in the USA were wrong and the guilty should be brought to justice! But what the Allies have done, whereby the most powerful nations and armies in the world have joined together to attack a sovereign nation for the sake of one individual (who is still a suspect, not a convict) is absolute aggression.

Power, might, strength and arrogance have prevailed in this war, over justice! But as believers, we believe sincerely that there is absolutely no power and no might, except Allah Subhanah. He is undoubtedly the Ultimate Judge, and He Alone will Judge with Justice on the Day of Judgement!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
