If a person prays sitting on a chair in the mosque, should he put the back legs or the front legs of the chair in line with the other worshippers’ feet?

Answer:

Praise be to Allaah.

We put this question to Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih ibn ‘Uthaymeen, may Allaah preserve him, who answered as follows:

He should put the back legs of the chair in line with the other worshippers’ feet.

 Question:

But then when he stands, he will be in front of the others

 Answer:

He isn’t standing, (so he should put) his back in line with the feet of the other worshippers. And Allaah knows best.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah's Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
