Answer:

Too late to learn Quran

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His  forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

My beloved brother in Islam, it is never too late to seek knowledge! There are thousands if not millions of people who revert to Islam at an old age, and they strive to learn, recite, and understand the Message their Lord and Creator has sent for the guidance of all mankind!

There is absolutely no need to be ashamed in seeking and gaining knowledge of the deen, no matter what the age; and Maa-Shaa-Allah, you are only seventeen! If you were born a muslim, it was the responsibility of your parents to teach and guide you towards Islam.

My beloved brother in Islam, Allah Subhanah has given man time until one’s appointment of death to seek and follow the Right and Straight Path; only after that it would be too late!

There are several things you can do, depending on your situation:

  1. You may approach your local mosque or Islamic Center and join their Quran learning classes.
  2. You may read and understand the Quran yourself in a language that you know best.
  3. You may use one of the several good Islamic softwares, where they teach you how to recite the Quran in Arabic with transliteration and/or translation.
  4. You may approach a good God-fearing brother or scholar in a local mosque, who will only be too pleased to teach you to read and understand the Glorious Quran.

If you need any help whatsoever in learning the Quran, in any form or manner, or want us to send you a copy of the Quran ….please do write to us as it would be an honor for us to mail you a copy of this Glorious Message of the Lord of the Worlds.

May Allah Subhanah increase your zest for seeking and understanding this knowledge of Truth. Ameen.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
