Answer:

Meaning of verse 5-15

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verses 15-16:

15 O People of the Book! There hath come to you Our Messenger (Mohamed (saws)) revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book (with them, the Bible) and passing over much (that is now unnecessary): There hath come to you from Allah a (new) Light and a Perspicuous Book.

16 Wherewith Allah Guides all who seek His Good Pleasure, to ways of peace and safety, and leads them out of darkness by His Will unto the Light; (and Allah) guides them to a Path that is Straight.

In the above quoted Verses, Allah Subhanah invites the people who had received the previous Divine Scriptures (the Jews and the Christians) towards His Last and Final Messenger, Mohamed (saws); and towards the Guidance of His Last and Final Revelation, the Glorious Quran.

Allah Subhanah informs them that the Revelations and the Guidance of the Glorious Quran is not new in its entirety that they should be the foremost in rejecting and denying it….but if they were to study it, they would realize that it only confirms the guidance which was revealed to them in Truth by the Lord in the Scriptures that are with them (The Torah and the Gospel).

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 46 Surah Ahqaaf verse 12:

12 And before this was the Book of Moses (The Torah) as a Guide and a Mercy; and this Book (The Al-Quran) confirms (it) in the Arabic tongue; to admonish the unjust, and as Glad Tidings to those who do right.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 37 Surah Saafaat verse 37:

37 Nay! He (Prophet Mohamed (saws)) has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the Messengers (before Him).

From Prophet Moses (a.s.) to Prophet Jesus (a.s.), and from Prophet Jesus (a.s.) until the advent of the Last and Final Messenger, Mohamed (saws))…..through the passage of time, the people who received the Divine Scriptures altered, changed, added, and subtracted from the Divine Guidance which was with them at will, to suit their lusts and their desires……In the above quoted verse (5:15), Allah Subhanah informs them clearly of their blasphemy of changing the Very Words of the Lord Creator with them….and guides them to the New Revelation of the Glorious Quran which reveals and makes manifest to mankind what the doctors of the previous Divine Scriptures had kept hidden from the mainstream Jews and Christians.

If indeed their intention is to seek true Guidance, and the Pleasure and Good Will of their Lord Creator, and they wish to seek a way or path towards peace and safety in this world and especially the Hereafter….then it is absolutely incumbent upon them to unconditionally accept the Guidance of The Glorious Quran in its entirety; for that alone is the Straight Path in the Sight of the Lord Most Majestic Most High.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
