Jibrahil (alai salam) once came to prophet (s.a.w.s)n said Allah has given me the knowledge 2 count every leaf on earth, every fish in the sea, every star in the sky and every particle of sand on earth, but there`s only 1 thing I cant count. Prophet (s.a.w.s) asked jibrahil (a.s) what is it ?

Jibrahil (a.s) replied when 1 of your Ummah recites Durood or salaams to you the blessing Allah showers upon him becomes impossible 4 me to count. Subhan Allah !!!!!!!

I request u to read Durood at least once now and send this to all the Muslims u know inshallah you will get sawab –

Answer:

Durood rewards

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: I have received the below mentioned message from my friend. Is this correct or not? Can you try to find the source of this; which hadit book etc please.

Dear and beloved brother in Islam, sometimes in their zeal to promote and propagate the good some people invent and declare their own system of rewards for doing a particular deed; when it is Allah Subhanah and His Messenger (saws) alone who have the sole right to declare what reward one may receive from which deed!

To the best of our knowledge, we have not found or come across any of the narrations quoted by your friend regarding the rewards of reciting the ‘durood’ in the authentic and established Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws).

Beloved brother, because the Last Messenger of Allah (saws) is a perfect example to be followed by all the believers until the end of time, the Prophet (saws) guided the believers to be extremely cautious when attributing something to his blessed name….

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4.667 Narrated by Abdullah bin Amr

The Prophet (saws) said ‘Whoever tells a lie on me intentionally, will surely take his place in the (Hell) Fire."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 1.109 Narrated by Salama

I heard the Prophet (saws) saying, "Whoever (intentionally) ascribes to me what I have not said then (surely) let him occupy his seat in Hell-fire."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.217 Narrated by Abu Huraira

The Prophet (saws) said, "Whoever intentionally ascribes something to me falsely, he will surely take his place in the (Hell) Fire.”

Allah Subhanah Himself and His Angels sends blessings on the Noble Prophet (saws), and The Lord Most High has commanded those who believe to also send their salutations unto their Prophet (saws)…..

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzaab verse 56:

Allah and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him and salute him with all respect.

Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (saws) said, "When any Muslim sends greetings upon me, Allah returns my soul to me so that I may respond to his greetings." (Related by Abu Dawud)

Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (saws), "Do not turn my grave into a site of festivities, but send salutations to me for your salutations are raised to me wherever you might be." (Related by Abu Daw'ud)

Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-'As reported that he heard the Prophet (saws) saying, "If anyone invokes blessings upon me once, Allah will bestow blessings upon him ten times over."

Related by Muslim.

Ibn Masud reported that the Prophet (saws) said, "The people nearest to me on the Day of Judgment will be the ones most conscientious in invoking blessings upon me." Related by Tirmidhi.

Abu Hurairah reports that the Prophet (saws) said, "May the nose of the person in whose presence I am mentioned be covered with dirt if he does not invoke blessings upon me.”

Related by Tirmidhi.

Abu Dharr al-Ghaffari narrated that the Prophet (saws) said, 'The most miserly amongst people is the one who fails to invoke blessings upon me when my name is mentioned in his or her presence.’

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
