Answer:

Marry shia

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Dear and beloved brother in Islam, a marriage between a man/woman who call themselves a ‘sunni’-muslim and one who calls themselves a ‘shia’-muslim will be absolutely legal and valid in the Sight of Shariah.

Any person who professes belief in the Absolute Oneness of Allah and the appointment of Prophet Mohamed (saws) as the Last and Final Messenger of Allah will be regarded as a legal muslim in the Sight of Shariah, regardless of whether they chose to call themselves Shias, Sunnis, etc.; and provided the conditions of a ‘nikaah’ are met, it would be absolutely lawful for the two to marry each other, if they choose to do so.

Although there might be a few differences in the beliefs of believers who call themselves Shias and Sunnis, the fact remains that both believe in the Oneness of Allah Subhanah and the appointment of Prophet Mohamed (saws) as the last and final Messenger of Allah; thus both will be considered as legal ‘muslims’ in the Sight of Shariah Law. Provided all the conditions of ‘nikaah’ are met, it would be absolutely legal and lawful for a Sunni and Shia muslim to marry each other, if they choose to do so.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
