Answer:

Belief in crucifiction of jesus

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: recently i was talking with a catholic and he told me some of the earliest muslims actually believed in christs crucifixion. S there any truth to that

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verses 157-158:

157 That they (the Jews) said (in boast) "We killed Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah"; but they killed him not nor crucified him but so it was made to appear to them; and those who differ therein are full of doubts with no (certain) knowledge but only conjecture to follow; for of a surety they killed him not.

158 Nay! Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.

It is absolutely inconceivable to assume that any muslim who has even a basic knowledge of what has been related in Truth by their Lord Creator in His Last and Final Message, the Al-Quran, would believe in the falsehood of Jesus Christ’s (a.s.) crucifixion after Allah Subhanah has Himself Declared in His Quran that Jesus Christ (a.s.) was neither crucified nor killed!

It is considered an absolutely obligatory element of faith in Islam to believe unconditionally in every single word of the Glorious Quran. For any muslim (leave alone the ‘earliest’ muslims who studied their religion from the very ‘University’ of Prophet Mohamed (saws) and his companions) to believe in the fabricated theory of the crucifixion of Christ Jesus (a.s.) would be tantamount to disbelief!!!

Beloved brother, rest absolutely assured that there is absolutely no truth in the brother’s statement that the earliest muslims supposedly believed in the crucifixion of the Noble Messenger of Allah, Christ Jesus (a.s.) the son of Mary.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
