Answer:

Pm scratched and killed man

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

To the best of our knowledge there is absolutely no evidence in the authentic and established Sunnah, nor in the recorded Seerah of the Messenger of Allah (saws), nor in the recorded history whereby it is related that the Messenger of Allah (saws) simply scratched a person and that person died because of that scratch!  And Allah Alone Knows Best.

There is only one incident recorded in the Seerah which comes to mind….maybe it is that incident which is being referred to:

Amongst the ardent enemies of Islam and the Messenger of Allah (saws) was a disbeliever and resident of Makkah, Ubayy ibn Khalf.  In preparation to revenge the severe loss of the pagan Quraysh of Makkah in the ‘Battle of Badr’, Ubay ibn Khalf raised and bred a special horse and vowed and boasted to his people that he would ride this horse and kill the Messenger of Allah (saws) in the next war (Battle of Uhud) with the Muslims of Madinah.

During the ‘Battle of Uhud’ when the enemies had surrounded the Prophet (saws) and were attacking him from all sides, and this Ubay ibn Khalf tried to kill the Messenger of Allah (saws), the Prophet (saws) threw a spear at Ubayy which ever so slightly ‘scratched’ and wounded him.  On the way back from Uhud to Makkah, Ubay ibn Khalf constantly complained of the severe pain from that ‘scratch’ or wound he received from that spear thrown by the Messenger of Allah (saws); and when his people told him that it was only an ordinary ‘scratch’ it is recorded that Ubay said that none could imagine the severe pain he was experiencing from that wound!

Ubay ibn Khalf ultimately succumbed to that wound and died on his way back from Uhud to Makkah; and it is recorded in the Seerah that this Ubayy ibn Khalf was the only person who was ever killed by the hands of the Messenger of Allah (saws) in war (or otherwise)!

It may be that this is the ‘scratch’ or wound resulting from the hands of the Messenger of Allah (saws) you might be referring to in your question.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
