Answer:

Memorize Quran

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

It is not humanly possible to list all the virtues of memorizing the very Words of the Lord Most High Who Created; for Allah is our witness, the very word and term ‘virtue’ is too narrow and too limited to accommodate all the benefits of one who is blessed to memorize verbatim and secure in his memory the very Words of Allah Subhanah, the Lord and Creator of everything that exits in existence!

What we can do for you here is quote a select few of the authentic narrations of the Messenger of Allah (saws) on the subject of learning the Glorious Quran….perhaps it may shed some light upon the innumerable and incalculable virtues of memorizing the very Words of the Lord Who Created…..

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 6.545 Narrated by Uthman

The Prophet (saws) said, "The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it."

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2137 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud

Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "If anyone recites a letter from Allah's Book he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a tenfold reward. I do not say that 'Alif-Lam-Mim' are one letter, but 'Alif' is a letter, 'Lam' is a letter. and 'Mim' is a letter."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 6.459 Narrated by Aisha

The Prophet (saws) said, "Such a person as recites the Qur'an and masters it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Paradise)! And such a person who exerts himself to learn the Qur'an by heart, and recites it with great difficulty, will have a double reward."

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 1448 Narrated by Mu'adh al-Juhani

The Prophet (saws) said: ‘If anyone recites the Qur'an and acts according to its contents, on the Day of Judgment his parents will be given to wear a crown whose light is better than the light of the sun in the dwellings of this world if it were among you. So what do you think of him who acts according to this?’

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
