my name is Amtul but i don`t know the meaning of my name. And nobidy in the house knows the proper meaning.

please i`ll highly be grateful to you if you answer my question A.S.A.P

Answer:

Meaning Amtul

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Just as the term ‘Abd’ in the Arabic language means a ‘slave’ who is of the male gender, the term ‘Amat’ in the Arabic language means a slave who is of a female gender.

Thus ‘Amtul’ by itself would mean ‘a female slave of ?’; but the correct and more appropriate name should be assigned as ‘Amtulaah’ meaning a female slave of Allah.
