Answer:
Bohra view of Quran translation
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Dear and beloved brother in Islam, the Lord Creator
Himself, time and time again, Declares in His Glorious Quran that His Message
is absolutely clear, plain, and easy to understand!
Allah says in Chapter 2,
Surah Baqarah aayat 185
Ramadan is the month
in which the Quran was sent down: this Book is a Perfect Guidance for mankind
and consists of clear Teachings which show the
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 16 Surah Nahl verse 89:
We have sent down to
you this Book, which makes everything plain, and is a guidance, blessing and good news to those who have
surrendered themselves entirely.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 19 Surah Maryam verse 97:
We have made this Quran easy, and sent it down in your tongue so that you
should give good news to the pious and warn the stubborn people.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 18 Surah Kahf verse 1-3:
All praise is for
Allah Alone, Who has sent down this Book
to His Servant (Mohamed (saws), and
assigned nothing crooked to it. This
Book says everything directly,
so that he may warn the people of the severe chastisement of Allah and
give good news to the believers, who do
righteous deeds, that they will have an
excellent reward.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 99:
We have sent down to
you Revelations that clearly expound the Truth, and none but the disobedient reject them.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 21 Surah
Anbiya verse 10:
We have sent down to you a Book, which deals with matters concerning
yourselves. What? Do you not understand this?
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah
Bani Israel verses 89:
In this Quran, we employed different ways to
make the people understand the Message,
but the majority of them persisted in un-belief.
Your
Statement: Using Bohora's view implies that the majority of the Muslim world is
being mis-informed by the scholars of Islam since only Bohora authority can
decipher the Quran properly.
Firstly, Allah has sent down absolutely no authority
towards any sect or clergy that they alone can decipher His Revelations; thus
if one makes such a claim, they should be asked to provide their evidence for
their assumed authority; and if they are unable to provide their evidence from
the Quran or Sunnah for their authority, their claim would be absolutely
baseless and a falsehood.
Secondly, if one uses simple logic and common sense one
would realize (and I seek refuge in Allah from even uttering this!) how
‘unjust’ would it be that the All-Wise All-Knowing Lord sends down His Message
for the guidance of all mankind, and none except a ‘chosen’ few can understand
or decipher it!
Thirdly, the so-called ‘authority’ themselves never
explain in their gatherings, nor have an authorized translation, nor do they
conduct classes for their followers (leave alone non-Bohras), nor encourage the
understanding of their ‘version’ of the Glorious Quran! Not even in their premier university, the
Jamea-tus-Saifeeyah do they even have a course where the entire meaning of the
Glorious Quran is explained or taught!
Fourthly, leave alone encourage, these unscrupulous and
supposed ‘holy men’ absolutely discourage their followers to understand the
clear meanings of the Glorious Quran!
Beloved brother, a simple look at the way the sect
conducts its affairs and control over its followers would reveal that these
unscrupulous so called ‘leaders’ have tried to make sure that none of their
followers ever come close to the understanding of the Quran….for if they ever
did, they would immediately and easily realize the Truth and the absolute and
abject falsehoods of the Bohra belief would be exposed.
Allah Subhanah has Himself warned the believers of the
Quran against such unscrupulous and self-declared ‘holy men’ who conceal the
Revelations of Allah from mankind and sell them for paltry worldly gains:
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah
verses 34-35 :
O you who believe! There are indeed many among the priests and
the holy men who devour the wealth of others by evil means, and debar the people from the Way of
Allah. Give them the good news of a
painful torment, who hoard up gold and
silver and do not expend these in the Way of Allah. The Day shall surely come when the same gold
and silver shall be heated in the fire of Hell,
and with it will be branded their foreheads, their bodies and their backs. (And it will be said): “Here is that treasure
you had hoarded up for yourselves! Taste
now the evil of your hoarded treasure!”
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah
Al-Baqarah verse 174:
Indeed those,
who conceal the commands that Allah has sent down in His Book and barter
them away for paltry worldly gains, fill
their bellies with fire. Allah will
not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection,
nor will He regard them as pure and there is a painful torment for them!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah
Baqarah verse 159:
Those who conceal the clear (Revelations) and
Guidance We have sent down, after We
have made it clear for the people in the Book,
on them shall be Allah’s ‘laanah’ and the ‘laanah’ of those who are
entitled to curse!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah
Baqarah verse 79:
Then woe to those who write The Book with their
own hands, and then say, “This is from
Allah”, so that they might gain some
paltry worldly price. This writing of
their hands will bring woe to them, and
what they gain thereby will lead to their ruin!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah
Anaam verse 157-158:
Now that a clear proof, a Guidance and Blessing, has come to you from
your Lord, who can be more unjust than
the one who treats Our Revelations as false and turns away from them? We will inflict the severest torment on
those who turn away from Our Revelations because of their aversion. Do the people now await that the angels
should come down before them? Or that
your Lord may Himself come down? Or that
the manifest Signs of your Lord should appear?
Dear and beloved brother in Islam, we can keep on quoting
Aayah upon Aayah from the Glorious Quran to prove the falsehood and utter
blasphemy propagated by those who strive to conceal and discredit the clean and
open Revelations of the Lord Most High. The
Lord All-Knowing is well aware of their blasphemy, and without an iota of a
doubt, not only will the leaders who propagate this blasphemy bring ruin upon
themselves, but also upon those who unconditionally followed them!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 34 Surah
Saba verse 5:
As for those who strive hard to discredit Our
Revelations, for them is a painful torment, most humiliating.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 30 Surah
Rum verses 58-60:
We have set forth in this Quran every sort of
argument to make the people understand;
but whatever ‘aayah’ you may bring, the disbelievers will certainly say,
“You are following falsehood”. Thus
does Allah seal up the hearts of those who (wish to) understand not. So, patiently perservere; for surely the
promise of Allah is True. And let not
those who have no certainty of faith, shake your firmness.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah
Hajj verse 78:
Exert your utmost for the cause of Allah, as one should. He has chosen you for His service and has
not laid on you any hardship in your deen.
Therefore, be steadfast in the
religion of your father, Abraham. Allah
had called you ‘Muslims” before this,
and has called you (by the same name) in this Quran also, so that the Messenger may be a witness in
regard to you, and you may be witnesses
in regard to the rest of mankind.
Therefore, establish the
‘salaat’ and pay the ‘zakaat’, and hold fast to Allah. He (Allah) is your ‘Maula’: what an excellent ‘Maula’ and what an
excellent Helper!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah Hajj verses 13:
Then, instead of Allah, he invokes those who can do him neither harm
nor good. This is the last extremity of
deviation. He invokes those who are
more likely to do him harm, than good! What
an EVIL ‘MAULA’ he chooses, and what an
evil companion.
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and
commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),
one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any
other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be
assured of being led astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
