Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

May Allah`s blessings be upon you!

I am a married muslim girl. I have been told there is a Dua we should say before husband and wife relationship. And that Dua takes away all the evil in the relationship, no shataan will be involved in the act. And the children conceived will have a pure soul with no evilness in their heart.
Is it true? if so could you send me that Dua please

Answer:

Dua before Sex

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4.493 Narrated by Ibn Abbas

The Prophet (saws) said, "If anyone of you, when having sexual relation with his wife, says: 'Bismillah. Allah humma jannib nas-Shaytaan wa jannib nas-Shaytaanap feema razaktana’ (In the name of Allah. O Allah! Protect us from the Shaytaan and prevent the Shaytaan from approaching our offspring you are going to give us,) and if he begets a child (as a result of that relation) Shaytaan will not (be able to) harm it."

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
