Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Dear Burhan,

who is god? nobody knows, its a mystery, so let it be a mystery, there is no need to investigate or go into details of his existence, his existence is actually omni present, one has to just understand this simple fact. Human life, in itself is a clear indication of existence of the super power, then why do we seek knowledge from quran to know him? understanding this gift (life) and awareness of it is knowing him. Prayers, Mosques, etc are all man made, where as humans are a creation of god, so, understanding ones life and being aware of it is understanding god in true sense. everything else is humbug.

Answer:

No need to recognize God

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

My dear and beloved brother in Islam, my initial reaction to your thoughts was to present to you the clear, logical, and common-sense arguments to each of your questions and thoughts and beliefs regarding the existence (which you have Alhamdolillah not denied) and the Rights due and demanded by the Creator from his creation (which you have indeed denied).

Beloved brother, if you wish, and have the time and the inclination, we would be more than happy and consider and honor to initiate a logical debate on each of your thoughts.

For the time being, if you could only take a few minutes of your time and ponder over these few Verses of the Glorious Quran and compare them to the thoughts and beliefs that you have established, maybe, just maybe, you’d realize how polarized are your beliefs from what is Declared by the Lord Creator Himself in His Glorious Quran.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 185: Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was sent down: this Book is a Perfect Guidance for mankind and consists of clear Teachings which show the Right Way, and are a Criterion of the Truth and falsehood.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 14 Surah Ibrahim verses 1-2: This is a Book which We have sent down to you (O Prophet) that you may bring mankind, by the help of their Lord, out of the dark ways (of ignorance) into the Light (of knowledge), to the Way of that Lord, Who is All Powerful, and inherently All Praiseworthy, and the Owner of whatever is in the heavens and the earth.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anam verse 70: And leave alone those who have taken their ‘deen’ as a sport and past-time, and have been deluded by the life of this world. Nevertheless, you go on admonishing them by reciting the Quran to them, lest any person should be seized because of his own deeds; and that too, at a time, when there would be no protector, no helper and no intercessor to rescue him from Allah; when no conceivable amount of ransom would be accepted from him. This is because such people shall be seized, in consequence of what they themselves had earned.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 23-24: And if you be in doubt whether the Book We have sent down to Our Servant is from Us or not, then produce, at least, one surah like this. You may call all your associates to assist you and avail yourselves of the help of any, other than Allah. If you are genuine in your doubt, do this! But if you do not do this, and you can never do this, then fear the Fire which has been prepared for the disbelievers, and which shall have men and stones for fuel.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 43 Surah Zukhruf verses 43-44: So, hold fast to the Book that has been revealed to you, you are surely on the Siraat al Mustaqeem. The fact is that this book is a great honor for you and your people, and soon you shall be CALLED TO ACCOUNT for it.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 157-158: Now that a clear proof, a Guidance and Blessing, has come to you from your Lord, who can be more unjust than the one who treats Our Revelations as false and turns away from them? We will inflict the severest torment on those who turn away from Our Revelations because of their aversion. Do the people now await that the angels should come down before them? Or that your Lord may Himself come down? Or that the manifest Signs of your Lord should appear?

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus verses 40-44: Some of these people will believe in (The Quran), and others will not. Your Lord knows these mischief-makers very well indeed. If these people deny you, say to them: “I am responsible for my deeds and you are for yours. You are not accountable for what I do, nor am I for what you do.” There are many among them who hear what you say, but will you make the deaf to listen to you, even though they be incapable of understanding this? Then there are many others among them who see you. But will you show the way to the blind, even though they be bereft of sight? The fact is that Allah does not in any way wrong the people, but they wronged themselves!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 27 Surah Naml verses 1-6: Taa Seen. These are the verses of the Quran and the lucid (clear and open) Book; a guidance and good news for those believers who establish the Salaat, and pay the Zakaat; and they are the ones who fully believe in the Hereafter. The fact is that We have made the misdeeds of those who deny the Hereafter seem fair to them; therefore, they stray about blindly. They are the ones for whom there is an evil chastisement, and in the Hereafter they shall be the worst losers. And (O Mohamed), you are most surely receiving this Quran from the One, Who is the All Wise, All Knowing.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 30 Surah Rum verses 58-60: We have set forth in this Quran every sort of argument to make the people understand; but whatever ‘aayah’ you may bring, the disbelievers will certainly say, “You are following falsehood”. Thus does Allah seal up the hearts of those who understand not. So, patiently perservere; for surely the promise of Allah is True. And let not those who have no certainty of faith, shake your firmness.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 34 Surah Saba verse 5: As for those who strive hard to discredit Our Revelations, for them is a painful torment, most humiliating.

My dear and beloved brother, the Lord Creator gave man wisdom, intelligence the power of reasoning, and bestowed upon him a ‘free will’ for a limited period of one life time as a test to choose which path one wishes to follow. Every individual has a right to follow what he believes, thus as much as we disagree with your thoughts and beliefs and you with ours, both have a right to co-exist in peace and harmony for the duration of this test of life.

Every individual, for the test period of one lifetime, is permitted to formulate his own beliefs, declare, propagate and invite others to his beliefs if he wishes to do so.

I do hope that the belief that the Glorious Quran invites to puts the believers who have invested their belief in it in good stead when they ultimately are returned to their Lord. If you sincerely believe that the belief you have formulated will hold weight in the Presence of your Lord Creator, by all means, you have a right to take your chances.

All we say as your brothers and well-wishers in Islam is that if you wish, please, and allow us, we would be honored to present the belief which the Glorious Quran invites mankind to. To accept or reject our humble invitation is your prerogative alone.

We hope and pray that the Lord Creator guide you and us to the Path that leads to His Mercy and His Forgiveness, and save you and us from treading those paths which lead to His Wrath and Punishments.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
