Answer:

Small Surahs in Quran

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Amongst the last Juzz or Chapter 30 of the Glorious Quran are several small Surahs which are extremely easy to memorize; and amongst the smallest and shortest Surahs are the 103rd Surah Al-Asr (only 3 verses), 108th Surah Al-Kauthar (only 3 verses) and the 112th Surah Al-Ikhlaas (only 4 verses).

Here follows the Arabic to English transliteration and the translation of the above three Surahs for your reference:

Surah 103 Al-Asr

1 Wal asr

2 In nal insa_na lafi khusr

3 Il lal ladzina a_ma_nu_ wa amilus saa_liha_ti wa tawasau bil haqqi wa tawa_sau bis sabr

Translation:

1 By (the token of) time

2 Verily Man is in loss

3 Except such as have Faith and do righteous deeds and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth and of Patience and Constancy.

Surah 108 Al-Kauthar

1 In na_ ataina_kal kautsar

2 Fasal li lirab bika wanhar

3 In na sha_ni aka huwal abtar

Translation:

1 To thee have We granted the Fount (Of Abundance).

2 Therefore to thy Lord turn in Prayer and Sacrifice.

3 For he who hateth thee he will be cut off (from Future Hope).

Surah 112 Al-Ikhlaas

1 Qul huwal la_hu ahad

2 Al la_hu samad

3 Lam yalid wa lam yu_lad

4 Wa lam yakul lahu_ kufuwan ahad

Translation:

1 Say: He is Allah, The One and Only;

2 Allah, The Eternal Absolute;

3 He begetteth not nor is He begotten;

4 And there is none like unto Him

The recitation of any of these small and beautiful Surahs along with the obligatory recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah would be suffice to fulfill the condition of the recitation of the Glorious Quran in prayers.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
