Divorcee wants to get married

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Assalmu alaikum,

Please can you answer my question i am very confused...i am a divorcee and been looking for marriage for the last few years..alhamdu`lila i have had few proposals recently but the brothers werent practising therfore i didnt go any further...6months ago i met a guy from muslim matrimonail site, i realised he was the type of guy i was after god fearing etc, everything went well. We then decided we should leave the matters on our parents hand as they can sort out the marriage..istakara was positive...as i was use to chatting with him everyday i found it difficult to cease our tele-communication, i was being nasty to him when he didnt answer my call, now he doesnt want to go a head as he thinks am not the right girl for him, his scared of my attitude..i really like that guy...what do i do..do you think if he is written down on my taqudeer i will end up with him no matter what?...i asked a pious person (imam) regards to my problem he says he is written down on my taqudeer and told me recite some wazeefa to make simplify the task..the problem im going though is scaring me too, cant get that guy out of my head...is that some sort of test from Allah?? Please HELP!

Divorcee wants to get married

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: ...is that some sort of test from Allah??

Allah says in the Holy Quran in Chapter 67 Surah Al Mulk verse 2: He (Allah) created death and life that He may test you, to see which of you is the best in deeds.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verses 155-157:

155 Be sure We shall test you with something of fear, and hunger, some loss in goods, or lives, or the fruits (of your toil); but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere.

156 Who say when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah we belong and to Him is our return."

157 They are those on whom (descend) blessings from Allah and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance.

Whatever befalls a person in this short transitory life, whether it is success or a setback, is nothing more than a test from the All Knowing, All Wise Lord!

If after you have done the ‘istakhara’, and subsequently situations and circumstances arose whereby the person has gone away from you for any reason; then it probably means that your supplication of ‘istakhara’ has been accepted by the All Knowing, All Wise Lord; and the boy might not be as good for your deen, your life, and your hereafter as you might have imagined.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 216 (part): …..But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah Knoweth and ye know not.

Be patient and constant in your supplications to the Merciful Lord, and implore Him to give you what is best for your life in this world and your Hereafter. Maybe He has in store for you someone much better than what you want or what you have lost! Keep your faith in Him and in His Knowledge and Power, for He Alone Knows what is best for His slaves.

Salman reported that the Prophet (saws), said, "Your Lord, the Blessed and the Exalted One, is Modest and Generous, and He loathes to turn away His servant empty-handed when he raises his hands to Him in supplication."

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
