Never followed islam in proper way

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

I am 16 years old, i have never followed Islam in a proper way. I have taught about it but have never tried, i am not motivated enough, but i am facing many education problems and i want to follow Islam in this time of need. I need some sort of help to put me on the right path.

Answer:

Never followed islam in proper way

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Brother if you want to follow Islam in the right manner, it is a simple matter of submitting yourself to the will of Allah swt., and praying for His Mercy and Forgiveness and Guidance.

For a start you should perform your obligatory prayers in their prescribed times, read the Noble Quran in a language that you understand, fast during Ramadhan, Keep good righteous company and do good deeds always.

InshaAllah you will find a big difference creeping into your life. May Allah swt have Mercy upon you.
